# Versions and activation

> Apply changes deliberately and keep a stable configuration for calls.

## Save, publish, and activate

| Step | What it does | Effect on new calls |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Guardar borrador** | Saves an editable revision. | Keeps the active version. Outbound tests use the saved draft. |
| **Publicar versión** | Creates a fixed configuration after requirement checks. | Keeps the active version until you select another. |
| **Activar esta versión** | Selects a published version for operation. | New calls use it once activation is confirmed. |

Calls that have already started retain their initial configuration.

## Apply a new version

1. Edit and save the draft.
2. Resolve requirements: available voice, approved context, and telephony.
3. Publish the version.
4. Open **Versiones y despliegue**.
5. Review its details and select **Activar esta versión**.
6. Wait for confirmation and make a test call.

For reception, also prepare the verified number and fallback. Publication does not remove the need to test the real route.

## Pending activation

If telephony has not confirmed the change, the version remains pending. Use **Comprobar estado** or retry the same activation as directed by the notice. An accepted request does not prove the number is already using that version.

## Compare or recover a version

Each version shows its number, date, and configuration. **Comparar con el borrador actual** highlights differing sections.

**Copiar al borrador** lets you edit an earlier version. You then need to save, publish, and activate.

**Volver a esta versión** selects an earlier published version for new calls. Review its knowledge, number, and rules before confirming.

## Pause and archive

**Pausar agente** stops new work; for reception, the number returns to its previous route. Already accepted calls can continue.

**Archivar este agente**, in Overview, removes the agent from the list while preserving versions and history. Archiving discards unsaved changes and requires confirmation.

For outbound campaigns, also check autonomy and campaign status. Activating a version does not create or authorize a campaign.
