# Voice and language

> Choose an available voice and check how it sounds with your business information.

## Choose an available engine

In **Voz e idioma**, the voice editor offers **Sidemex estándar** and **Voz premium**. Each shows **Disponible** or **Pendiente de conexión**: available or awaiting connection. Selecting a pending engine does not make it available.

Voice consumption and conditions depend on your plan. Review **Plan y uso** before repeated tests or campaign activation.

## Set the voice, language, and model

- **Voz:** choose a displayed catalog voice or the engine's default.
- **Idioma:** Spanish · Mexico or English · United States. Publication checks language availability.
- **Modelo:** keep the default or select a model from the available catalog.

Changing the engine clears the previous voice and model selection. Choose again and save the draft. Published versions retain the voice, model, and language used to create them.

## What to test

Listen to the greeting, business name, addresses, and common service terms. Ask a longer question, then interrupt to check turn-taking. If words are cut off or the agent responds too early, review [Conversation](https://docs.sidemex.app/en/agents/conversation/).

Use the [Testing lab](https://docs.sidemex.app/en/agents/testing/). Reception tests use the active version; outbound tests use the saved draft.

## If an option is missing

Use the choices and availability status shown in the editor. A provider listed elsewhere or connected to your account is not a guarantee that it works in this voice editor. Review [Integrations](https://docs.sidemex.app/en/agents/integrations/) or contact Support.
