# Connect Sidemex to your assistant

The public endpoint is not open yet. The steps below describe how connecting will work.

## Endpoint

Authentication is **OAuth 2.1 with PKCE**. Your assistant opens a Sidemex sign-in window, you choose which permissions to grant, and you return to the chat. No API keys to copy.

## Claude

1. Go to **Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector**.
2. Paste `https://mcp.sidemex.net/mcp`.
3. Sign in to Sidemex and approve the permissions.

## ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code

Any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth can connect with the same URL. Client-specific steps will be published when the endpoint opens.

## Without an account

**Domain search is free and unlimited**, no account needed. To get a quote in your name, your assistant will ask you to connect your Sidemex account.

With your account connected you can quote and buy, and manage DNS and email **only for domains you own**.
